Task 4

Judith Butler says that when you are born you do not have a sex (male/female). She says "There is no gender identity behind the expressions of gender; ... identity is per formatively constituted by the very "expressions" that are said to be its results." in other words, gender is a performance; its what you do at particular times, rather than a universal who you are.

Task 2

Out of all the woman oscar winners in the world, there is only 16 percent of woman winning the oscars over the past 88 years! the study for both genders maintains that the professions were determined based on the importance via story and final product. e.g. if a female role was both a wife and an entertainer, like Reese Witherspoon in Walk The Line, Fusion determined the dominating job. In the final tally, the comparisons of Oscar-winning roles between the genders is pretty depressing.
